Hammer has returned to Cobwebs! This week, Daniel is joined by popular YouTuber in the physical media community, Nathan Jones, to dive into some classic Hammer Horrors. They focus the discussion on the long obscure The Shadow of the Cat (1961), and then discuss the rest of the movies in Indicator's brand new blu-ray boxset "Hammer Volume 6: Night Shadows". We're getting excited for the spooky season coming up, and hope you are too!

For this special episode Daniel is joined by Laura Cannon (host of the Fatal Femmes podcast) to discuss the only female director in the Hollywood studio system of the '30s and early '40s. Dorothy Arzner! Together they discuss two of her films Merrily We Go to Hell (1933) and Dance, Girl, Dance (1940), and then Laura lists her favorite female directors.
It's the first installment of our on-going series on Remakes! This time Daniel is joined by his awesome wife Stefanie, as they discuss The Shop Around the Corner (1940) and it's remake You've Got Mail (1998). Warning: That '90s remake may not get as much love as you'd like it to, but we hope you still send someone a boutique of sharpened pencils!
